My journey began at a small college south west of Pittsburgh now known as Waynesburg University.  I had the privilege of observing “The Hairy Potter,” Craig Roberts, for a couple of years.  After attending Waynesburg my work with clay came to a halt.  For the next thirty years I had only wished that I continued.  A wonderful marriage to my ever-supportive wife Mary and raising four children filled those decades.

     In 2014, the best Christmas present ever was from my youngest daughter, and it was an introductory ceramics course at Community College of Allegheny County.  It has been a challenge to make up for thirty years, but I am doing my best.  I am again privileged to observe another Master Potter, Scott Cornish.  Without his total dedication to teaching I would not be having so much FUN.
